My husband had 3 ruptured discs from an injury from work. He was 6 years on workers comp. The pain was making everything in life harder. the pain meds made him fuzzy thinking and couldn't drive at times. Some times the pain was so terrible that he would take twice the amount of med, but still didn't get rid of the pain. the doctors said he needed surgery. the insurance companies wouldn't pay for this. I decided that since he was using a cane to walk and so much pain, that acupuncture might help. He got us in right away. He went three days a week for about six months. the pain relief was immediate. didn't last more than a day, but each treatment was better and pain stayed longer at each session. He finally returned to work and that was in 2001. still is working after being so injured I thought he wouldn't be able to work. He takes nothing for pain now. Dr. Tao gave him chinese herbs in the beginning for pain. I am so happy to have found him
