I requested an appointment and said that I needed something as soon as possible. As per the website, I sent an email. I was emailed back and given an appointment 2 weeks later. I begged for an earlier appointment but was denied. We then confirmed everything by texting, which was her preferred method. When my appointment day came, she cancelled with an hour's notice because she was not feeling well. Then I was told I could reschedule for another 2 weeks. I said that I could not wait that long and that I was in crisis. The answer was that it was too bad, that I should have called to make an appointment and not emailed. Nobody ever said that email was not good enough. She then called me to tell me I was stupid for not calling. For someone who was already in a vulnerable position and going through a lot of pain, this behavior could send me over the edge. I had a hard time deciding to seek help and to be slapped in the face by the very person I was reaching out to for help is inexcusable.
