Murphy is questionable at best in his methodology. Rorscharch tests are administered to children, and these are pseudoscientific balderdash. He also uses tarot cards in sessions. Has a really inappropriate game called The Talking, Feeling and Doing Game and he makes you do whatever is on the card and some of the things are really gross like "Kiss someone in the room" and he made me let him kiss my hand. He was presented with an 11 year old child who obviously had symptoms of ADHD, possibly autism, and he treated her like she was being a jerk on purpose rather than a child with a neurodivergency. He is unethical, irresponsible, and oblivious to what an actual diagnosis should be. Also told anotuer person they were bipolar when it was substance use that they went there for, and their problems were due to substance use, they were not bipolar but Murphy attempted to diagnose them as such. Don't trust this person any farther than you can throw a farm implement.

No, sadly you are mistaken. Your patient information was given out and you don't know it yet. Pat Murphy lied and you bought her lies. Watch the news and the papers. Melinda Finch Bussa worked there for 18 months untrained, and ALL patients' confidentiality WAS COMPROMISED. She lied to 7 people and they got records and sadly learned the truth. So will you.

Patient confidentiality was not respected; Melinda Finch Bussa, Michael J Murphy, Michael Urban, and Mary Bourne Cerra participated in a cover-up that will eventually get media attention. Bussa pulled patient charts and gave out patient info to people that called when she did NOT have a release to do so. Patricia Murphy shared what was confidentially shared with her by patients. She repeatedly breached, was dishonest, lied to cover. Urban has a history of malpractice with the Patient Compensation Fund. One patient was awarded over $300,000. So does Patricia Murphy, Michael Murphy, and Melinda Finch Bussa. All info is confirmed online. Going there ruined many lives.
     Anonymous user - 3/7/2014 - To the former reviewer: you are completely mistaken. These are all good doctors, including Dr. Patricia Murphy. I have been helped immensely by Dr. Murphy over many years and would recommend these doctors to anyone who asked my advice.
