Towards Healing fails to follow the psychiatric definition of psychotherapy, that is the ability to share feelings, attitudes, and experiences with the therapist without being belittled, despised, attacked, or accused no matter what is revealed about ones offense, but should respect the client's dignity and worth. The client is expected to be open and not keep secrets so when the client puts their cards on the table about their offense, therapy turns ugly and hateful. It’s very clear that in group all are not on equal footing, there is a pecking order. The lower one is on the ladder of offense the greater the scorn, contempt, disgust. If one has been court ordered to Towards Healing it won't be like going for marriage counseling. One now is State property, and is treated as such by Towards Healing until the State returns its property back to its legal owner.
